Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees both received Silver Sluggers, which are awarded to the top offensive players at each position in both leagues. These honors come just ahead of what is expected to be an MVP coronation for each player next week.

For Ohtani, the award underscores an incredible season in which he made history by becoming the first player in MLB history to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a single season. Along with this achievement, he also helped lead the Dodgers to their first World Series title in his debut season with the team. It was a remarkable year for Ohtani, not only for his offensive feats but also for his leadership on the field, making him one of the most dominant players in baseball.

Aaron Judge, on the other hand, earned his Silver Slugger in recognition of his stellar performance in 2024. Judge led the American League with a career-high 58 home runs, the most in MLB this season. This marks the third time in his career that he has led the league in home runs. His powerful hitting played a key role in helping the Yankees reach the World Series. Judge’s ability to hit for power and his leadership both on and off the field make him one of the most exciting players in the game today.

With these outstanding achievements, both Ohtani and Judge have rightfully earned their Silver Sluggers, and they will undoubtedly be remembered for their exceptional performances in a memorable 2024 season.
